Homeowners, please be alert and look for people showing too much interest in cars, front doors, etc. Call the constables if you notice a problem.
Thefts and vandalism might occur. Lock all vehicles, and do not leave anything in your car if you park it in the driveway or on the street. Lock the doors and windows of your homes, and keep your area lit at night as a deterrent.
Be aware that residents in the unincorporated parts of Harris County MUST have a valid and unrevoked Permit for use of their house alarm system(s). Click HERE for additional information.
The Constables have made available two different flyers for your information and to help keep you safe. The first flyer describes a self-defense program designed specifically for women. It's called R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense). Click HERE to display the R.A.D. flyer. The second flyer describes the many different classes and programs provided--for free--by the Harris County Constable Pct. 5. These are all designed to help you stay safe. Click HERE to display the document listing the different department programs.
